Thirty years later

The Northern Iowan is still an excellent newspaper. I am a returning student after a 30-year pause.   After Vietnam, I attended the University of Northern Iowa in 1977 and 1978, enjoying UNISA, rugby and the various classes I took.  In 1979, I went to work at the local phone company (still employed).

I have returned to campus for six hours a semester to finish my BA.  Maucker union is still a great place to coffee up while studying.  The browsing section of Rod library has become a favorite of mine.  I believe UNI will survive the budget crisis as a somewhat different institution.  More buildings will have to go dark at night.  The grass won't get mowed quite as often.  The sidewalks will not get shoveled as quickly. Just wanted to say I am enjoying being back on campus.
