Wednesday marked National Signing Day for NCAA college football and the University of Northern Iowa football team officially added 21 recruits to its 2010 roster. Among those signing their National Letter-of-Intent are three junior college All-Americans as well as three Elite All-State selections from the state of Iowa.

Andre Dawson, RB
Running back Andre Dawson of Cedar Rapids Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa was ranked as the No. 1 running back in the state. Rivals.com rated Dawson as a three-star prospect as well as the No. 54-ranked high school running back in the country. Dawson holds six school records at Washington H.S. including points in a season (170), points in a career (398), touchdowns in a season (28), touchdowns in a career (64), rushing yards in a season (2,212) and rushing yards in a career (5,084). Former University of Michigan wide receiver Adrian Arrington is a relative of Dawson.
Jared Lanpher, QB
Quarterback Jared Lanpher led Blue Springs High School (Blue Springs, Mo.) to the 2009 Class 6A state championship game. He also earned status as an all-state selection his senior season. He started at quarterback for three years and compiled a career record of 29-6. Rivals.com rated Lanpher as a two-star prospect.
Tirrell Rennie, ATH
Tirrell Rennie is a junior college transfer from Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls. Rennie, a native of North Lauderdale, Fla., was a two-time All-American at Ellsworth as he played at the quarterback position. In his two years at Ellsworth, Rennie set 13 school records, including the mark for single-season total offense, compiling 3,888 yards his second season. Rennie was recruited to UNI as an athlete, meaning he may not play quarterback as a Panther.
