After looking at your editorial about blogging, I’d like to suggest
these blogs, as being thoughtful and informative.
   
In Gary Weiss’ 2006 book, “Wall Street versus America,” he showed that the stock market is run by a bunch of shady characters. There’s a new paperback update of it. Two of his books are in the UNI Library. His blog is: www.garyweiss.blogspot.com.

I made two mistakes, above. First, my own blog's address is http://reykr.livejournal.com.

Second, the blogger who writes the Madville Times is Cory Heidelberg, a researcher at South Dakota State University, in Madison, South Dakota.

Richard Pettigrew, who was a US Senator from South Dakota from 1889 to 1901, is of course deceased. Cory Heidelberg told me that he greatly admired Pettigrew, who was a courageous man. In 1917, when the federal government indicted him, for violation of its newly-enacted "sedition" law, Pettigrew framed the indictment, and hung it on the wall of his law office, in Sioux Falls.

You can read about that, on Pages 373-387 of Pettigrew's book, which is in the UNI Library, under the title, "American Imperialism." The original title was "Triumphant Plutocracy." You can find a link to an online version of that book, by googling the words, "Jerry Baker Triumphant Plutocracy."
